CHINESE

The pattern of the CHINESE rug is inspired by a journey to China of designer Alessio Romano, who replicated on the rug the traditional Oriental culture of symbols, in which each simple line or curve conceals a message.

“The circle is a symbol of perfection, but also the ideal representation of time, the year, day and night, of the eternal return of life and, hence, immortality.”

The complex pattern of CHINESE reflects a study of continuous lines perfectly fitted together, which means the rug can be placed either vertically or horizontally.

Made of jacquard weave, with mixed chenille and cotton yarn woven into plush.
